But you do get a nice processor and motherboard- just the Athlon 64 3400 is over $200 at NewEgg. You can scrap the case if you want since it is basically free.

the case is flimsy cheap plastic and the power button is crap, hardly ever works. I had bought two of the cases before realizing this.
Now, one of the computers is so bad I have to flip the power supply switch to turn the computer off.
Plus, tigerdirect is ghetto when it comes to returns, I have had such bad experiences with them I just don't want to deal with them anymore

I was in a tiger direct STORE this past weekend. They even gave an EMPLOYEE a hard time trying to buy/return something.
SHEEZ.

They have always sucked on returns, bought a DVD writer from them a while ago and when it didn't work I sent it back(after getting RMA) and for some reason they charged me twice and took over 4 weeks to refund all my money. I had to call them like 20 times altogether. :puke: :censored:

I had almost exactly the same problem, I got shipped orders I never ordered and called multiple times without actually getting anything accomplished.
Ended up just taking a big hit in dollar amount due to my frustration with their lack of customer service

I once got a hard drive from a "TigerDirect" (Global at the time) store to take to a customer site. The drive wouldn't be properly recognized as a Slave, so I took it back. I also returned some DAT-type backup tapes that I had hoped to use at the customer (but they weren't compatible with the drive). They didn't give me any problems.

prolly just cause all the older posters have been through this so many times they don't want to waste their time posting ;)
and tigerdirect has some good deals, just have to be careful about certain things
