I have cable internet and a wireless router in the downstairs of my house. Upstairs in my brothers room, he can use the wireless internet, however in my room, which is next to his attached by a bathroom, I can not. I however need to figure out a solution for this problem so that i can get online in my room, without running a cord from downstairs to my room. Is it possible to say have a second router upstairs that recieves from the first one wirelessly and then I can recieve it either by cord or wirelessly from the second router? Or is there a way I can turn up the signal or anything? thanks for the help!

Yes you can use another wireless router that amplifies the signal from the first one. I have used a linksys in the past to do so but currently am using a couple of Airport Express's to wire my place now. I know there are a couple of people here who have done it recently so I'll wait for them to give you a suggestion of what equipment to buy. But yep, you can do it.

cool thanks, if anyone knows how i should set it up or what I should use, please let me know, also, when i install the wireless card on my computer, windows will find the network but wont connect to it. I have tried different card and pci slots, also my brothers computer will find and connect to the internet from the same spot. Is there something wrong with my computer. (Also when I try to install the wireless configuration software that came with the card on my computer, my computer will just turn off after being on for 30 seconds...didnt install this software on my brothers because windows was able to connect without it.)
