This does seem ridiculous ...
However, if it was only 2000 points, people would be complaining that "newbies" could win prizes - after you had been collecting all year. At least this gives the ones that have been around for a while a chance.
Although I wouldn't spend 58k on a turkey ...

I did the same with Jack's VIP and did get an answer from them in an email that said, "use them while you have them cause they won't roll over". We ALWAYS try to have one confirmation.
I just meen I understand what he said... my bad. Won't happen again.
It just didn't occur to me that anyone at a radio station would have nothing better to do than stalk a silly little web site.

11-09-2005, 08:10 PM
I asked on the phone and was told they won't roll over. I sent an email to confirm and heard nothing regarding Ricks. I did the same with Jack's VIP and did get an answer from them in an email that said, "use them while you have them cause they won't roll over". I made these inquiries because there is no mention of the expiration or rollong over of points in their rules. I would encourage everyone to inquiry for themselves.
I much prefer kyxy's attitude:
"Expiration of POiNTS:
KyXy POiNTS do not expire (you worked hard for them - you keep them!) provided that you have made an entry in your account at least every 30 days."
this is one reason why people love kyxy, even though they do have other very restrictive rules.
this also gives them a chance to offer really high value prizes
kiis in la is confronting their roll over rule by having blow out raffles at the end of the year, so no one has to be stuck with unused points.
methinks rick and jack could benefit from a course in public relations 101 and give better thought to running a masterful program. reminds me of a geico promotion involving cavemen ...next time do a little research.

AMEN to that Flotsam!
If that were to happen, we'd all be spending too much time enjoying all the prizes instead of working for a living. Heck it is easy to get to the $600 prize total w/KYXY & fill out that W-9.

The on-air staff, as well as the producer (CJ) had off today, so no on-air announcements of any kind were made. They announced the names of the cruise winners on-air last week , and the week before, so I would expect them to announce the treadmill winner...maybe Monday.

Thanks Itsme. I just noticed that this morning you could still buy entries and later in the morning it was changed to show someone won, so I thought they might have mentioned it. Thanks for all the listening you do!

To each his own I guess...personally, I find CDs, movie passes, etc. not worth all the time it takes to get points....for me, having truly unusual prizes that you can't normally buy, or if you can are worth some money is what makes me stay with the program.

I suppose so, but you have to admit that with the uniques prizes- theres always fierce competition for them. I normally can't achieve that amount of "pointage" so I'd rather stick with quicky prizes such as CDs or movie tickets. That's why I save my Kyxy points, and when I want a quick fix like movie tickets or CDs, I go on Couch Potato or Jack or Rick's.
