This morning Rick said he wanted to make sure the word was worth 3000 points to make up for yesterday's problems. However, CJ said that the person who programs the points has made it worth 2000 points. She said she has no control over the points program. Rick was not happy to hear that, but not much he can do about it. He wants to interview the "points person" to hear what's going on with the program.

Itsme

Now, Rick just came on at 7:10 and said they have talked to the point guy and we will get 3000 points for today's word.

Also, CJ said they fixed yesterday's word...so if you entered the word yesterday and it didn't work, they did give you the 500 points.

I just checked my account and I didn't get the 500 points, so I'm not sure they know what they are doing yet.

Yeah I ask this question everytime I join a new points program- a person I knew had all 100,000 something of her star points wiped out before realizing 'duh theres a countdown'. I'm glad about star not doing it this year, there wasn't that much prizes if i remembered correctly- last year there were a bunch of CDs and stuff so people can spend all their points.

i hope they "sort" out this deal with the mt. solodad cross. im sure if they remove it my grandfather will roll over in his grave.:dead:

My parents have lived up off Mt. Soledad road since 1963 and they are heartbroken about this.Tell them to let not their hearts be troubled. We will get MORE than 100,000 signatures to put it to a referendum and I don’t fear the citizens will find differently than the wretched City Council. THEN we recall all the 5 SOB’s who voted to not take the Federal life line. Of course, 2 of the five are going to be doing time in the Federal Pen, so we won’t have to waste the effort to recall them. Hope all you Donna fans are happy

I do not agree with a lot that Rick says but, this is one issue I agree.

From the docket:

Another outstanding referendum petition drive this morning with almost 1,000 of Rick’s listeners showing up…and the local media is now covering the referendum petition drive.

Local 8 covered Rick’s petition drive today at the K-mart in Kearny Mesa at Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Convoy.

We will be there again tomorrow getting signatures and passing out referendum petitions. If you are a registered voter in the city of San Diego you can sign the petition. Please come by and bring a friend to the petition drive. We need as many VALID signatures as possible!

Not sure what they are doing. On the show today Rick and CJ said they did not pur out a newsletter yesterday because they got too busy.

Maybe they had one prepared but didn't send it out yesterday, then sent it today and called it today's newsletter.

This Terri schaivo case, is hitting close to home for me, 9months ago I was paralyzed and was sent to a home just like the one Terri is in now, my first day there my doctor told me to look around the place and figure out how far I wanted to go, how much quality of life did I want before they pulled the plug. I soon informed my Mother that if I couldn’t get by in a wheelchair I didn’t want to live like that or suffer like that. I am 34 and recovering and I can now walk, thank god, but many of the other people there are younger than me and will never recover and have been there many years, part because the doctors and the facility’s refuse to give more treatment, which is wrong. Others are just too damaged to recover. most of those did not have there wishes in writing. I can tell you that the people who could talk hated the place and compared it to a hopeless prison with little chance of porole. What I learned there, is that those places are a horrible place to live, day in and day out. I was there about a month and I couldn’t wait to leave. I saw allot of people in so much pain and misery, a daily torture, it was just heart breaking. This facility is one of the nicest one in town.
I don’t think its fair to make a decision for another persons life, it should be there own choice, I personally could not imagine anyone would consider living in a hospital bed for the rest of there lives a quality life, that is worth living, but I certainly would not make that decision for anyone. What do you do, in a situation like this, where the person can’t communicate?
I do not know. I do however suggest to anyone who has not thought about this, DO IT NOW!!!! and tell your family and friends, or even better get it in writing. what your wishes would be if you yourself were in this position. How far do you want to go?
