Invoice can be found at autos.yahoo.com: $30,105. Since it's well sought after, there are likely no dealer incentives.

I have one (as InfiniteNothing so kindly pointed out) and I love it! I paid $35K OTD for mine here in So Cal. It has the short shift kit, security upgrade, auto dimming mirror w/compass, mats, and wheel locks. I just tinted the windows and added a JDM STi strut bar. I live in LA County so sales tax was 8.25% and registration was like $500. Nor Cal probably isn't much better. Insurance is expensive too. The ride is a bit punishing (will be solved with JDM pink springs in the future) and the seats are hard. Definetly test drive it before you buy it. I'm a car guy so I fell in love with it immediately.

Since you live in California too, I'm sure you know that the price for a home is outrageous so my money went to my car. I'd rather move out of state than buy a house here at this point.

I went to the LA Auto Show last night and the parking kiosk attendant kept complimenting my car. There are plenty of people out there though who will think you just drive a rice rocket and will scoff when you tell them the price.

You should be able to get them for around invoice. I used Cars Direct and just brought the quote to the dealer. I purchased it back in October to take advantage of the 2.9% financing. There's currently 1.9% financing but only for 36 months.

it's a hot car, i drove one before deciding on the R32...it's way faster than the R too, but i'm a VW junkie and couldn't stray away from my community..hehehe, i think the one i drove was a 2005, and was marked up to 34k...but if you shop around enough you could probably get one for MSRP as they have been out for a while now.

By now, if you pay MSRP or above, you're paying too much.
