great way to buy a scratched wheel on ebay for cheap. fix it up yourself, and upgrade your wheels.

not a bad idea attgig. but i suppose there is a lot of potential to get screwed with a horrible disfigured wheel. if one has the skills though, its a great plan.

Heh... I'm glad that both my vehicles have tires with a "rim guard"... so that ain't gonna happen to me. :D

i think DF means that his tries sit wider than his rims to they stick out and protect the rims from the minor scratches.

Yup... :thumb:
The lip of my tire extends out beyond the wheel so that any abrasions end up on the tire and not the wheel. :D
