I'm willing to poke fun at myself for this one.....

Anyways, while doing a load of laundry, I noticed the dryer was making a lot more noise than it should have been making. Upon opening it up and looking through my clothes, I found out the problem...... it turns out that when emptying the pockets in my jeans, I forgot to take one item out -- and now I REALLY regret doing so.

What was the item? None other than my CELL PHONE!!!! Go ahead and laugh, point fingers, and mock me..... but this is one time when a technological gadget failed on me that I deserved to have fail. This sort of thing has NEVER happened before (usually it's just loose change that I forget to empty out).

Needless to say, warranty will NOT cover this phone (although I should take a picture just so I can laugh at myself). I'm also darn lucky I caught this the moment it got in the dryer -- something tells me the heat could have had a disasterous effect on the battery. Now to let the phone dry off and see if the SIM card is salvageable (I doubt it).

Gosh I'm a bonehead.

Good luck with that!

I'm not even attempting to try and get the phone repaired under warranty -- but I'd love to be the rep on the other end if someone DID phone on an issue like this.

Geez, you still remember THAT??!!??

I wouldn't be surprised if it worked after drying out. Give it a couple of days and see what happens.

Oh and I agree with the bonehead part. :P

Well, the phone is officially toast, but the SIM card survived.

Oh well, gave me an excuse to upgrade to a Sony Ericsson T610. At least I still have all my phone #'s that were on the SIM card. :)

Based on the 45 minutes I've used this T610 today, I'm starting to think it was a GOOD thing that this happened with the old cell -- I'm really liking this phone. The overall sound quality is very clear (much better than the Z200 was).

Now to figure out how to add Bluetooth to my laptop.....

I once dropped my cellphone in the toliet. Before I flushed. After I had tacos.

That was new phone time.
