Well, do ya? Answer the damn question.
I got my first manicure a few weeks ago and my first pedicure today, both at the urging of my fiancee. the pedicure was awesome and I will definately go back for another one of those. the manicure, eh, nothing special. i don't think I'll do it again. my hands are clean and my fingernails are clipped, i don't need manicures.
No. Dude. No. :|

And nickel, that's the perfect picture for this thread. :)
Oh My Gay
I'd do it as a joke or for ****s and giggles just to tag along with my wife/girlfriend/fiancee/whatever but NEVER seriously. Then again, I Don't know what kind of woman wants her man to do womanly things. Does she not have girlfriends?

no, I actually went to men's only place.

i always refused before because she goes to chick salons that smell like a chemical factory. but when we stumbled upon this place in Paseo Colorado I thought it was cool. Really kick back and nice place without any female customers.
for a guy the pedicure is just clipping your nails, cleaning up anything that needs cleaning, soaking your feet, and then a long foot and lower leg massage. you should give it a try.
Well that sounds...better, I guess ;). Still not my thing. I'm not a big fan of massages or anything like that and I clip my own nails and keep my feet clean on my own :)

I've been thinking about getting one for some time. For some reason (hint, hint: hereditary) my feet get really heavily calloused, and it can be painful after a long day. Not to mention kinda gross looking. From the bottoms of my feet you's thtink I was an old man. I'm thinking a pedicure would take care of these, at least for awhile.

I went to 18|8 in Paseo Colorado (http://www.eighteeneight.com/pasadena.html).

well, if anyone is considering it, go see Renee at 18|8. She's awesome. Come on, what's better than reading Maxim or Men's Journal while a woman is massaging your feet. Not much...at least in public that is.

didn't know they had men's only places! if you go into the type of nail salons i go to (vietnamese employees), they're likely gossiping about the gay man who wants a pedicure. :P (i have a bunch of aunts who work in nail salons). i must admit though, pedicures should be for everyone, because the massage just feels goooooood!! i'd love to get them regularly, but for sake of cost, i have to limit myself to special occassions.
Manicures? No. I wouldn't mind getting a pedicure though, only because it's danged uncomfortable sometimes twisting my foot so I can cut the nails properly.

MAJOR PROPS TO ALL THE GUYS WHO SAID YES...
I admire that you are secure enough to allow yourself to relax and be pampered a lil bit. I keep trying to get my SO to go and at least let the girls massage his feet and get the tension out because I thought it would help the tension in his ankles, but he absolutely refuses!! :disa:

take him to the 18|8 in Irvine (http://www.eighteeneight.com/locations.html). It's at Westpark Plaza (whatever that is, I've never been there). We were just walking by and my fiancee got me to look in and see what was going on in there and surprisingly it is a very manly and nice place. Clean too and free of the nasty chemical smell and women running around with foil in their hair. If he saw the place he might change his tune. Next time you're out with him tell him that you have to stop and run an errand and then just *happen* to walk by 18|8 with him. We're stupid, we need someone to lead us to water and help us drink sometimes. I'm glad my fiancee did.

a guy who gets a manicure/pedicure has a metrosexual side - no doubt about it.
not that there's anything wrong with that.

as I am getting closer to marriage I find that I am marrying into a metrosexual side. none of this comes naturally to me, but it comes natural to her to make it natural to me. :D

I would not get a pedicure when I could get a massage instead. I just wouldn't spend the money on that. If I was going to spend some money I would do an hour massage, now those are great every once in a while.

When I am older, I am going to get atleast one a month... soooo nice..... :lick:
I would get pedicures, I mean why not? Get a nice massage on your lower legs and feet. **** I woudl get a facial, since they massage your upper back and neck also.

They can become a pretty expensive habit.

That kind of place is called a "hand job hut". :)

I had a pedicure once at the insistence of an old GF. I think I would have enjoyed it more had she not been there telling me how wonderful it should be.
Manicures... many times. Especially if I was going to be making an executive presentation. Hands are critical in communication and people do notice the details.

My wife got me the complete spa treatment for Christmas. I wasn't too impressed with the idea, at first, but I did it.
My feet felt much better after a pedicure. I haven't gotten one since, but I would do it again.
