Hello

Hi I purchased the old memory foam from Overstock.com and it arrived perfectly & I've gotten some good sleep the last couple of months. They have some amazing deals on refurbed SLR Cameras. However, before I dropped some cash on it, I went to ResellerRatings.com and it showed a poor rating. I know that these ratings are biased in a sense that people are 10X more likely to write a bad review, more than good, as people sort of expect things to go smoothly and won't go out of their way to make compliments. Also I'm weary about people who a) beef up their own website or b) people from other websites giving poor feedback.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience buy expensive electronics or reburbed electronics from Overstock, or had to return the item & what you experience has been.

Thanks alot & thanks APEX! We really appreciate this site-

Tommy

I got lots of things from them, but nothing electronic that was over $100. Never had any issues.

I have bought TONS of electronics from the big O. Only once have I had to do a return, and they paid for shipping both ways, and it was painless. www.Overstock.com is the BEST place to buy low-to-mid line electronics.

I've bought:
MS Wireless desktop elite refurb - perfect condition, 50% of retail
Kenwood 6x9's - perfect condition, last year's models, 70% of best price from ecost.com
Pioneer 6.5"'s - same as the Kenwoods - last year's models, low low price
Various gadgets - usually a better price than compgeeks due to low cost shipping

And...the best:

My JVC 980SX MP3CD in-dash head unit. It retailed for more than $200. I bought it refurbed for $150. Although is has been installed and uninstalled 3 times in three different cars, it is still the best HU I have ever owned, and I love it.

bought a 2 grand tv from the place. Took a while to ship, but everything was excellent. no problems. As long as they are certified sellers of the product you shouldn't worry.

Got a VCR from them a little while ago - it was a refurb, and have had zero issues.

I bought a 21" refurbished CRT monitor from them. It was supposed to have been like new, but it smelled of cigarettes, was dirty, and has some wierd horizontal lines on the display. A co-worker bought the same thing, and had a similar experience.

Having said that, overstock paid the return shipping, and gave me a full refund. It was only a minor hassle. My co-worker returned his too.

There is actually a really old thread around here somewhere from when someone posted the original deal on this monitor...
