I'm selling my beloved Garmin GPS V. I've never gotten lost with this thing (and I get lost easily). If you want to jump into GPS navagation for your car but don't want to spend thousands, this is the best unit. It also doubles as a regular handheld GPS so you can use it for hiking. It doesn't have color, but it makes up for it's portability. It uses 4 AA batteries so you can change them when you need to, which is great if you use it for hiking or camping.

The best story I had of this was when my cousin and I were walking around DC and we randomly decided to try this restaurant she heard of. She didn't know the address or phone number, but simply new the name. I whipped out my GPS V, found the restaurant (using the point of interest finder), and drove there without getting lost. Like my Tivo, I don't know how I lived without it.

It's in excellent condition and includes the car adapter and mount (though you may need to get a new sticky pad since I've used the one it came with to stick the mount to my car.) Also included are the software included, including the North America City Select v4 that was included AND the North America City Select v6 update which would normally cost $150 extra.

Ebay is selling this for about $250 or so. I will take $200 plus $20 shipping via UPS with insurance (or buyer's choice).

Since I love this thing, I will also offer limited support. This means I will help you learn to use it but you can't call me every hour :)

If I don't know you from G|A (not a regular), I will either need references or payment in advance.

Edit: It also includes the serial cable to communicate between your computer and the GPS unit. There are USB adapters available, but I use my serial port.
