Well, new to me anyway!

My husband and I got our tax return and wanted to buy a used car with it. We were looking at SUV's just because we feel they're a little more safer than a car or a mini-van. So we saw this Ford Exploder that had a rebuilt engine with only 35,000 miles on it for $3500. The only problem with it (other than that it was a Ford) was that the 4x4 was out.

My uncle's a mechanic, so I called him up to ask him what he thought and after talking to him for a few minutes, he says that he was thinking about selling his Pathfinder for about $3500. It's a 1993 with only, prepare yourselves, 72,000 original miles on it. Perfect condition, silver, flowmaster muffler (nice!), power everything, ice cold a/c, and he's the original owner.

So of course I jumped on it! What a deal! We picked it up yesterday and we absolutely LOVE it! And with only 72,000 miles on it, it'll still last forever! We're so stoked! Yay!

hehe suv's are so funny. my dad is always saying, "typical suv driver...think's they own the road" (not that he's implying that to you though) enjoy the car and congrats!

lol! just don't ever drive to nebraska sitting in the back seat, I'm 6'1" so it was very uncofortable there was only 1' clearance from the seat to the floor. but besides that its a very smooth ride. love your car though, good find, well done. It's rare to find a perfect condition suv for under 5,000. Hondas and Nissans last very long, that is if the previous owner took good care of it. :)

Yeah, like I said before, my uncle's a mechanic so it was VERY well taken care of! Before, I hated driving anywhere. We have a 1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe P.O.S. Ugg, I hate that car. But I spent all day driving around San Diego today and I'm very pleased. Woohoo!

You will probably enjoy the Pathfinder far more than the quality (yeah, right!) ford product. Ford! Where quality is job 9,455,584!

I don't blame you for choosing a Pathfinder over of an Exploder!

:heh: Yeah, after having owned and currently owning and Ford, I really wanted a foreign made car. They last longer and they're more reliable. My current Ford is a Turbo, yet can barely make it up the hill where I live. I think I really did good getting this one!
