View Full Version : AAA Members: 2 Hours Free Parking at Pier 39 in San Francisco ($16 value everytime)

So I decided to post this in Got Deals instead of Region Specific Deals because I figure people from all over the place travel to SF and want to save cash around a touristy place.

So the deal is that AAA members get 2 Hours free parking at the Pier 39 garage. It's the parking garage across the street from Pier 39 with a pedestrian bridge over the street. Bring your AAA card to the Pier 39 visitor's center (second floor near the end of the pier on your right, right by the bungee trampline, above the hawaiian oyster shop) and ask for the AAA coupon book. In the book there is a coupon for 2 hours free parking (a $16 value). Also in the book is a 10% off coupon for the Pier Market, a great seafood place with the best clam chowder in the Bay Area IMHO. We go there all the time and since there is free parking and 10% off, it's totally worth it.

BTW, a parking attendent at the Pier 39 garage told me about the free parking deal about a year ago. Many thanks to him where ever he is.

I worked on the pier for 6 months and probably spent $200 in parking that I could have had validated!!!! (Not happy) Good post.

I was that parking attendant that told you about this deal!!! j/k would've been cool if he does check this forum though.

anyhow, that is a great deal. parking fee (or BART fee) is generally what deters me from going to pier 39, or chinatown.

All the tourists are what deter me from going to Pier 39... :heh: Good post though.

Good deal, man. I visited SF last year and paid for the parking. Should have saved me $16!!

it's usually no that bad, especially at Pier Market. We don't stop at all the tourist shops, we just go straight from the parking lot to Pier Market for lunch and then back to the car. It just feels like going to any other restaurant. Just avoid the tourist traps and it feels like eating out anywhere else.

mmmmm...pier market. Pier employees save 50% on wednesdays. I miss the pier.
