on that song, I think it's called the widow, is that a male or female singing? It sounds female to me, but when I google the band, it looked all male. Anyone know?

They are the Pink Floyd for the generation of current teens who are too hip to listen to Pink Floyd so they need their own substitute. Enter: Mars Volta.

I haven't heard them yet but I gotta ask, what's so wrong about sounding like Pink Floyd? And do you really want a bunch of teens listening to Floyd and all of a sudden becoming experts, trying to revive the music like it was the hottest new thing? I think that would get old with a quickness. Like I said I haven't heard Mars Volta yet but if it keeps the kids away from making Floyd mainstream again, I'm all for it.

They don't sound like Pink Floyd. They sound like a modern indie band who wants the same type of following Pink Floyd had/has.
