WOOHOO!!!!
I was waitlisted at Duke last December. I did get into a bschool, but it was my "safety" school. Unfortunately since then, I've been rejected from every school I've been waiting for. Heck, I have a decision from a school coming March 31st and I knew I wasn't getting in since I haven't gotten a request for an interview and by now it won't happen. I was getting really depressed at all the rejection, and although I was excited to go to my safety school, I was still very down on myself.
So as I was working today, my gmail notifier popped up with a email similar to last december where they said I could check my decision status. I first thought it was odd since I already gotten my decision status. But then it hit me it might be very significant, so as I was checking my email and then logging into Duke's website I got very, very nervous. Then I saw that they admitted me! I jumped and shouted, which startled the guys working in my cube area. I ran to my coworkers who wrote me recommendations (very friendly guys) but no one was there, but I told one person. I'm very giddy and happy!
So, I guess this August (and for the next two years), I will be in Durham, NC. I guess I have more reason to cheer for Duke in the tourney too.
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!
(i also hope it wasn't a mistake...some guy hitting the wrong button...)
