SS: Car Radio Stolen

So last night (Saturday) PG and I go up to our friends apartment in the Palms area of town. I park on Palms Blvd. We go on party up in Filmore (ugh). We get back around 12:30. We get in the car and notice that the glove box is open. Then we notice the stereo has been ripped out.

Total loss:
1 - kenwood mp3-capable cd-player
~50 CD's
Probably the passenger side window.

That sucks, but I have been there before too! Last year I lost a Kenwood deck, two Rockford Fosgate tweeters, two 12" subwoofers, and two 400 Watt Amps. It was all stolen on the Navy base in a lighted area directly in front of a manned watch station.

So much for security on base!

Same here. I've had vehicles broken into three times. All three times, the perps couldn't get the stereo out, so instead they took the opportunity to bust things up as much as they could... Would have been cheaper if they just took the radio.

Hers was like that too. Unfortunately, she always just put it in the center console.

I feel sorry for her, she just got a 13 mile communte (torrance to west los angeles) and she has no radio. Oh well, it will probably end up being my problem :|

Yeah...but it just makes a little bit more work for them...

Plus...I have the advantage that the new deck is in my crappy van (not the nice car where the last one was stolen from) which most wouldn't suspect. And...I spray painted the outer ring of the head unit black to minimize the fact that it is there. And...I take my faceplate in with me when I go somewhere.

my sister, who went to collage in nebraska: while we were there, her roommate had her car's window smashed and the cd player stolen. what makes me mad is that it was a public parking lot, and someone was bound to have seen it, and didnt report or call the police. heck if i saw it happening i'd come out with a baseball bat. well maybe not but still...

50 cds! OUCH! That hurts a lot. Had that happen to me in college once. I know how you feel. One was a special mix from a girl in France that I will never get back (the girl or the mix). :(
