Tonight Nate ran in the conference indoor track meet. He has mostly been involved in relays, but his coaches put him in the 200 singles based on one of his 4x200 splits. He was in the fastest frosh/soph heat, with one guy having a .2 second faster time during the season. Nate finished first (just ahead of the other guy) with a 24.0, which is also his best indoor 200. :thumb:

But yeah, many congrats, Nate!

24.0 isn't a bad 200 time, particularly for a young'un :thumb:

Just be glad you were runnning on an indoor surface. On an outdoor track, you'd be wearing that fall for a long time to come.

Nice job.....but it begs the question, what do you think of when you run? I know many swimmers think about sharks or pirannaha in the water to try to push themselves a bit faster. Although, I have to admit the fact that we had a couple of large red bellies in a tank next to the pool probably helped with that process. The swim team I was on was called the Pirannahas many many many  years ago.(Sometimes it doesnt pay to think about the other swimmers because you get too wrapped up about them)

Your couch? Do you have the mythical man eating couch that all couch potatoes fear?
Or did you mean your coach?

Nice job, Nate! One of the kids I work with just ran a 46.95 in the 400 a few weeks ago. He's going this weekend up to Minnesota. They're offering him a scholarship. Sounds like you're on a pretty good pace, too. Daddy already mentioned your 400 time when you were a frosh. ;)
