Sign up for a credit card during checkout (or before at service desk) at Target store.
You'll be given a 10% off certificate good for that day (all day).
Assuming you're approved and given enough initial credit, and the dyson is in stock (and you really want one). You can get the vacuum at 10% off.
Considering these NEVER go on sale and usually are excluded from all sales/coupons this might be worth it for someone who really wants a dyson.
I haven't used mine enough yet to give an opinion. Though it is relatively quiet and light.
No I don't work for Target or Dyson.

It's a great vacuum and worth every penny, but if you really want to get a deal on it, wait until Amazon has refurbished ones in stock. Usually there's a $30 off coupon floating out there and you can pick one up for $259 with no sales tax. At target with 10% off you'd end up paying $360+sales tax. Yes, the Amazon ones are refurbished, but they are just like new and Amazon is great about returns if you get a lemon for any reason.

You can get one for 50% off if you get a job with Sharper Image. Their employees get a special deal through mid-May. Of course, then you're working for Sharper Image.

I always buy big-ticket items off the internet (Amazon, OneCall, Buy, Newegg etc) because I avoid sales tax.

Unless they changed it, it has always excluded dyson on my local coupons...

Ya, they exclude it on their coupons, but I used mine anyway and it worked. Just make sure you get a cashier that seems clueless... :winkie: I've used the coupon there for an ionic breeze as well which is also excluded. Good luck!
And yes, this vacuum is great! I've got 2 cats and a dog and I've noticed that people who have pet allergies aren't allergic when they come over to my house. :)

I bought mine from Bed Bath and Beyond using my AMEX rewards gift certificate and the 20% off coupon. Even though the coupon said dysons are not valid it went through anyways. Also every 20% coupon doesn't exclude dyson...it changes all the time it seems. I have a few that don't mention dyson and others that do. YMMV.

Was seriously considering a Dyson myself, and was going to do the Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off coupon. I did some comparison shopping and went to an actual vacuum store that sells Dyson, Hoover, Riccar, Oreck, etc. She didn't suggest the Dyson, they are starting to see the repairs now for them. You cannot replace only the belt, there is an entire module that you need to buy to replace. This was a large determining factor for me. If it is going to be a major cost to replace the belt, no thanks.
Consumer reports rated it down near 13 or 14 in their tests from Jan. 05. She highly suggested the Riccar R300. I continued my comparison shopping and ended up with the Eureka 4870, the Consumer Reports best buy at $129.99 from Amazon minus the $25 off of $125 in Housewares.
If I didn't care how much I was spending, I would've stepped up to the Riccar 8955. Otherwise I would've gone with the R300. But for a third of the price, I opted for the vacuum that was far better rated than the Dyson.
We'll see how it performs, I have three cats, and am allergic.
