That's a GREAT deal! I just placed my order as of 9:00AM this morning.
The rebates (there are 2) expire TOMORROW (Easter Sunday), however on the bright side, they are electronic rebates with a mail-in followup through onrebate.com. These people are fast at getting you paid, and you can opt for a PayPal payment. Cool!

YIKES! I've gotta ask... what can you do on a Mac Mini that required a Gig of RAM? When I bought mine, I thought I was living life on the edge when I bought it with 512 installed.
Now internal wireless was another matter... dang I should have bought it with internal Airport.

Oh I don't know, but I just figure that's the max it will take, I might as well go ahead and bump it up to that size. As it is 256 just isn't nearly enough for 10.3.8 and doing nearly anything else. DVD burning can be a pain since it already has a 4200 rpm hard drive, so when it tries to swap it causes a buffer under run. I can get a 1g stick for about $130 shipped, so it's not that bad.

wow that's not bull**** if i've ever seen it......
Availability: Usually ships in 7-21 days
I'll spend an extra 10 dollars elsewhere to not have to wait a month to get my ram...

Indeed (I ordered a pair for myself). I am now up to 2GB on my Dell XPS. If that doen't get the job done, well, uh, I think I am covered.
On the Mac Mini, I have to agree that 256 is not enough. That's why I went with 512 new. I've heard they aren't user-freindly at all to work with. Darned cute though :)

hehe i dont worry about the shipping because if there's something i like, my dad has a tigerdirect fairly close to his work. he picked me up a 512 for 40 after rebate, but i dont know how good it works because i still have to buy it from him, an I'm poor. no job, no income, and even Jewel didn't take me. tell me that isn't bad

For those that can't find jobs anywhere... there's always a Wal-Mart somewhere that will take you in and pay you nothing :)
(pay is not thaaat bad btw.. if you can put up with running a register)

Yep that is why I was complaining. :D I can't use this in the mac mini. (Well I could but only 512 of it. )

Excellent deal. But I have heard negatives about tigerdirect and rebates.
Just a word of caution.

It's not quite in walking distance though heh like 6 miles WAY too much for a sprinter
we also have had small troubles with tigerdirect. after observing my dad's demeanor and cool additute i.e. threats, complaints, and an email every night, i'm pretty confidant that it just takes a small push :mad3:
