I heard DVD's are cheaper in Korea? Can anyone verify that? I'm going to Korea for 3 weeks so I'm gonna stock up if I can.

Pirated ones are. You can generally peek around the popular electronics areas in Yongsan and in Kangbyun but regularly retail labeled DVDs are not that cheaper than the US from what I recall this past summer.
Bear in mind though that anything you acquire overseas may not work due to faulty region coding and that some titles marked as DVDs may be VCDs.

most pirated DVDs are burned onto DVD-R or DVD+R discs, so they should be region free. i dunno how much they cost because i haven't bought any yet. actually, i don't plan to buy any before i leave.

i just saw some being sold for ~$8. i'd just stick with finding legit ones on sale in the US. :)
