Occasionally our wireless internet just blinks out for a few seconds, and then the connection is restored and life goes on. This isn't a big deal for normal internet usage, but my fiance games a lot, and so these little blips have turned into a big deal. Is this normal wireless behavior? Is there anyway to stop it??
We're using an AT&T Router (from CompUSA (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=316644&pfp=SEARCH) ), + 2 AT&T PCI cards.

Let me guess, you have 2.4 Ghz cordless phone? If you do or your neighbors do, that is probably the culprit. I ended up going to 900 Mhz, and it doesn't "blink out" my wireless connection anymore.

my laptop in the garage does that alot. i just figured i would get one of those wireless booster antenna thingys to get a better signal all the way down here.
i guess it could be our phone also, heh ill check that out. thanx navyones

try:
Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services, then disable Wireless Zero Config.
that was the main culprit for people with the Netgear MA101 adapters.
ymmv, good luck.

A microwave oven will also cause interference while it's running & can cause the connection to drop.
