Ok, I'm sure there some bike experts here, so here's a couple of questions:
1) How do I get tha handlebar grip back on? For some reason, whenever I ride the grips slowly work their way off of the handlebar (must be the way I ride somehow). Anyway, it's amazingly hard to get them back on, any tricks?
2) Any suggestions on a way to protect pants and shoes from grease when I'm riding? I'd like to start riding to work (I only like 3/4 miles away), but I don't want to ruin pants by accidentially hitting the chain. I could just tie the pant leg cose to my leg, but I'm not sure that would cover it. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Not too sure if I know about any easy ways to get the grips back on, but tuck your pants into your sock and that would help protect the pants from the greasy chain.

very easy solution for the grips. spray hairspray on the handlebars and then slide the grips on. the wet fluid helps the grips slide and then stay on when it dries and gets tacky.
pants? get a reflective legband like this:

or you could stuff them in your socks. :heh:

Or get a plastic chain guard. They should sell them at a local bike shop.

The chain guard might be my best bet. I hate to risk a $40 pair of pants on accidentially leaning too close to the bike (I can be absentminded sometimes) :) I was thinking about something like a catcher's shinguard that would sit on the side of the leg to protect (fabric instead of plastic, of course). They make anything like that?
Thanks for the tips!

This would seriously work much better...and you wouldn't look weird with it....

unlike the "shin guard" thing...
The one there is metal...but they do make them in cheap plastic too.

This site has them for like $5.99

You can just roll your pant leg up gansta style :D That is what I always did when I rode my bike with jeans on, just rolled it up to below my knee. It would normally stay up and kept it off the chain.
