What's this about the end of the year?
Our points disappear?
Has KFMB made a pronouncement to that effect, or is it just speculation?
In which case, it might be wise to cash in on something before the end of 2005?

All we know for sure is that over the past week or so several people on this thread have had communications with KFMB regarding the end of the year, and in each case have been told our points will go away at the end of the year. The rules on the web site don't say anything though.

If not obvious, KFMB owns JACK FM as well as channel 8 and KFMB-AM

or is it just speculation?

it seems maybe to be so:

I asked on the phone and was told they won't roll over. I sent an email to confirm and heard nothing regarding Ricks. I did the same with Jack's VIP and did get an answer from them in an email that said, "use them while you have them cause they won't roll over". I made these inquiries because there is no mention of the expiration or rollong over of points in their rules. I would encourage everyone to inquiry for themselves.

Actually the exact deal is you have to spend $25 at Vons then you can pick up to 2 Butterball 16lb turkeys for $9 each. If the turkey is over 16lbs then it's $11 each. The stuffing is extra but it shouldn't be more than $2. Prices are good till Nov 24. You are welcome!

There are cheaper turkeys but when I get a cheap one it tends to be dry and not that tender compared to the Butterball. I'd rather pay extra and get a turkey I know I'm gonna love. I'm sure if you are a real good chef you could make a great meal out of even the cheapest turkey.

I'm sure if you are a real good chef you could make a great meal out of even the cheapest turkey. If your turkey is too dry, baste it every half hour with your favorite juicy flavor: apple cider, orange juice, cranberry juice, butter, olive oil, or even just water. Or just spend an extra buck and put it inside a cooking bag. Either way, it will turn out perfectly.

I like baste the turkey every 1/2 hour with butter then the juicy after a couple of hours. The turkey is moist and the skin is to die for.. Take it for what it is worth.... just my opinion:bow:

I like to add a can of the Swansons Chicken Broth as it cooks, pour the can inside the turkey, also, I add a few strips of bacon across the breast of the turkey, it helps sooooo much with keeping it moist.
I found that trick on some cooking site, worked for me every year the last 2 years so far, best ones I ever made. And no, the bacon doesn't leave a bacon flavor, due to running so much of the broth over it during basting.

I just noticed the prize for 345,000 points. What's up with that?

If I get my 1000 points a day religiously, every weekday of the year, that only adds up to 261,000 points. With the occasional 100 point VIP word....I still don't see how anybody can accumulate 345,000 points if they all vanish at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve.

SISTERS: TEN YEARS LATER
What better time than the holidays to celebrate family? Give your sister the give of love and laughter with this phenomenal book. In Sisters: Ten Years Later, by Carol Saline and Sharon J. Wohlmuth, Thirty-six sets of sisters are profiled, many of them well known, such as tennis star Chris Evert and sisters Jeanne and Clare; model Christy Turlington and sisters Erin and Kelly; and Coretta Scott King and her sister Edythe. The ties that bind sisters are fierce, fragile, and forever. Throughout life's challenges, the love between sisters remains constant. The groundbreaking bestseller, Sisters, celebrated this profound family relationship. For this special Tenth Anniversary Edition, the authors have revisited many of the people whose poignant stories touched so many hearts a decade ago.

Experience a wide variety of missions on land, sea, and in the air, with the aid of over three dozen authentic American, Italian, French, and German weapons. Charge into battle together as Allied and Axis planes duel overhead, artillery explosions shake the ground and choke the air, and bullets and shrapnel streak past you and your squadmates. Experience war-torn Europe and Africa, from the blistering desert expanses of Tunisia and Libya to the beautiful yet deadly countrysides of Italy, France, Belgium, and Germany.
• Live a soldier's story, deeper than any you've experienced before: You are thrust into the role and story of a member of The Big Red One, America's most heroic and decorated infantry division. Experience the camaraderie of a single tight-knit army squad, bound together through the chaos of battle over the course of the entire game. Yes, you will suffer casualties; you must not suffer defeat.
• Know your squad like never before: Through all-new AI and animation, your allies (and your enemies) just got a lot smarter. Your squad will now make better use of environmental cover and tactical Maneuvers, such as flanking, envelopment, and fire-and-maneuver behaviors. Hear your allies reacting to the events on the battlefield with contextually accurate battle chatter.
• Online Multiplayer Action: Go online for intense Axis vs. Allies team-based multiplayer action on Xbox Live™ and PlayStation®2 Online.
