...In the USA meat is not graded on a scale represented by letters, so one would never see crates of meat labeled Grade D (or any other letter grade).

The dude at my local subway was like "Is that from the INTERNET?...We don't accept those!" Please...just because Al Gore invented the Internet - doesn't mean my coupon is invalid...
Maybe I'll try another store...or get Quizno's to "pricematch"!

go back there and tell him you want to talk to the manager and ask them if they take absolutely no internet coupons and why not.
they have this coupon posted all over the net on reputable sites.

Here is a more robust thread about this:
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.php?catid=18&threadid=459109&highlight_key=y&keyword1=subway

They say it's definitely valid in NYC, based on the ABC affiliate whose site it is on.

holy smulligans... there is another nickel in that thread
it isn't me :|

ok... after reading that fatwallet thread in it's entirety and seeing how Subway wants to weasel out of this coupon by saying they "don't accept internet coupons". i am going to take in my Pocket PC with the internet pages already loaded on them showing the site that is offering the coupon and the coupon itself and give them the bidness if they don't take the coupon. they aren't gonna treat me like i made up the coupon all on my own.

bastages

but then, after all that preparing, they will probably just take it. :)

They tasted bad enough, but that wasn't the issue so much as that there was tiny type at the bottom. "For military use only."

I never felt right about that. I'm sure that it meant that it was produced for, and only supposed to be purchased by the military, but I couldn't help but get the feeling that it was a warning to anyone else thinking about drinking it.

I just went this afternoon for lunch to one of those subway in NYC Broadway st near South Ferry. The owner wanted us to buy 2 regular drinks and the 6" inch with the coupon in order to get the free 6" sandwish. It's such as ripe off.

These things never work here in Columbus. I tried one a while back at a couple of them and they almost called the cops on me.

I guess I will have to live with the 2 for the price of one deal. :stupid:

Bummer dude! I go to one in Midtown at 53rd btw Madison and Park. They take the coupon no problem. It is located in the 5th Ave/53rd St E/V subway station (appropriately). Good for me because that is under the bldg I work in.

On my way down there for lunch right now actually.

I wouldn't worry about it, an old (straight off the boat) polish lady use to tell me they ONLY had milk in a can that didn't need refrig.
I think its non-pasterized, that's why it need no refrig.
*shrug*

Actually, I think it is a ultra-pasteurization technique that is used. The down side is that people sometimes complain that the milk tastes a bit 'burnt' if you can imagine that. They just use higher than normal temperatures to pasteurize the milk and hot-fill the container to ensure that all bacteria are killed. Once you open it you must refrigerate it though. More recently they combine this technique with aseptic packaging which aides in the killing of the bacteria.

Now, don't even get me started on irradiated milk. People get all nervous when they think of radiation touching food.

Apologies for the way off-topic thread and more importantly, why do I know this?
