between the end of the program and the receipt of your payment. We value your

First, the enormous success of our program (over 20,000 new subscribers were
signing up each day) means that it is taking us longer than expected to process

We are an 18 month-old ‘dot com’ company with more than 120 full-time
employees. To date, we have financed our own growth by raising more than
$10 million - exclusively from friends, family and close business associates.
During the early days of our pre-launch subscription and referral program,
we engaged the services of one of the country’s preeminent underwriting firms
to complete a ‘private placement’ financing - a portion of which was to be
used to pay you. At the time we entered into the engagement, the firm
expressed to us a very high level of confidence that our funding would be
in place by April 15. Neither they nor our company anticipated the recent
free-fall in the value of high-tech stocks. The ensuing investor caution
is delaying our receiving the expected funding (which is the primary reason
why it is taking us much longer than we had planned to pay all of our
subscribers).
The good news is that this is not affecting our plans to send you your
first Entirely Customized Electronic Magazine in the next 6 weeks.
We hope you’ll enjoy the terrific articles it will contain (exclusively
in your areas of particular interest) and that you will be able to start
