So I went to sign up for MLB Mobile notification today so I can get updates on Giants games straight to my phone. Turns out Verizon is not on their list. They have AT&T, Cingular, T-Mobile, and Sprint, but no Verizon. What gives? I get text updates direct to my phone from other sources unrelated to baseball and it doesn't matter what provider or model of phone you have for those updates. Does anyone know of other sources for MLB updates? I just want Giants scores text messaged to my phone each day!

If you were a Dodger fan you might get them..... I kid I kid.... I have no clue as to why Verizon got snubbed.... maybe they are not in the IN network.... or is that Sprint?

does ESPN or any other news outlet send text updates for specific teams?

after doing some extensive searching I found that CBS Sportsline has free text message notification for all sports and teams. They offer new headlines about the team and customized notifications. Options include before game notification, at select points in a game (innings), extra inning notification, final score, etc. Hopefully it will work out well. The only cost you may incur would be the cost of receiving text messages if your service charges. Sign up using the link on the right hand side here:
