2006 Ford Fusion (http://www.fordvehicles.com/futurevehicles/2006fusion/#)
NY Times Fusion Preview (http://www.nytimes.com/packages/khtml/2005/01/10/automobiles/20050111_AUTOSHOW_AUDIOSS.html?adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1105463295-pAWN+2IKmE3VGh0kE9Afyw)
Well it looks like ford finally took a hint, the Taurus, and now 500 were boring as. I can't say this is the best looking ever, but I think it has promise. It looks like they took styling from their current fleet and melded it with a touch of honda / caddy CTS.... I likey :)
I would probably get the 200HP 3.0-liter V6, but the I4 might be big enough, and especially more fuel effiecient, its just I want the nice rims and enhancements EDIT: (I HATE HUBCAPS) and the rims are in the bigger engine package. I wonder what chasis they are using. Modified Taurus or s40? EDIT: (Mazda 6)
~21,000+ and I would be looking to buy mid 2006 a year after the release.
I don't know much about cars, but say I was in the market for one in 2006, would this be one to consider? I have had 3 Ford cars ('90 Taurus SOLD, '02 Taurus Totaled, '96 Windstar current haha), and no they aren't BMWs, but all are functional for a resonable price, and I have never had a major system fault. I am driving the minivan cause my brother rolled my 02 taurus when I was out of the country, Big Blue (My van) has 105K on its 3.8L (Nice Engine)... but is still ticking.
EDIT: After some reading, the future calls for a hybrid, and a 3.5 280HP, and interior redesign. The option for AWD already exists on the SEL premo flava. I think ford might have this century's Taurus, althought it is a bit late, glad they have made it to the party. It is based off the Ford 427 concept, but the 427 had a V10 :)
