And in other cycling news, Tyler Hamilton has recieved a two year suspension in his blood doping case. He was ordered to forfeit all prizes won since the test at the Spanish Vuelta when the test occured. Russia is also seeking to have his gold Olympic medal taken away and given to Viatishlav Echimov.

obviously, armstrong will go down as not only one of the best cyclists ever, but as one of the world's great all-time athletes.

however, i think because he didn't compete in many of the other cycling races in europe, he will probably never be regarded as the greatest cyclist ever.

(kind of like if tiger woods only played the masters. even if he won it 7 times, beating jack nicklaus' record, he probably wouldn't be regarded as the greatest golfer ever.)

lance will still be a legend, however.
