'kay. so eg's been playin "blues birthday surprise" pc game. older game. please GOD somebody tell me that they have played it and they remember where the 3rd clue is.

this is a woman who used to be a girl who could score in the bazillions on pac-man. OLD SCHOOL NINJA, goddammit. and now this f***in game for 3 to 5 year olds is confounding my stupid azz. 30 minutes i've been wandering around looking. i've looked everywhere. it's like trying to find my wallet after 7 beers in THIS house.

it's worthy of hunting down a blue dog and shaving PWN3D! into its f***ing butt for revenge.

oh god i need help.

disclaimer: yes, i know my screen name has the word "welfare" in it... and "loser," too, for that matter... but i don't think i've ever in my life had 7 beers, let alone made it a nightly habit. no, i am not drunk and watching my kids. i am simply going quietly mad as the computer game for people who have just learned how to click with a mouse instead of teething on it, utterly defeats me.

i... have been pwn3d. :wah:

WL, we had that game.

What where the first two clues? And what is the question?

i love you.

the question is "what game does blue want to play for her birthday party?" first clue was a box with a hole cut in the upper half of the box front - obviously meant to be a puppet stage. i think. that clue was right outside the back door.

second clue was a curtain. it was tougher; you had to find it by skidooing into storybook forest.

(omg everyone with no kids or grown kids is wondering what the f*** we're saying.)

can't... find... the third. i guess it has to be puppets. i threw all the toys out of the toybox, but that didn't reveal anything new.

Okay, now I am stumped and I cannot find my copy of the game (pretty sure it went to a donation box a year or two back.

Is it surprise or adventure?

But I did find this. Let's see if there is any truth to it

Don't feel too bad. My sister had that game, and eventually just gave up and said to me "I think the last clue is gone. Blue lost it."

i find it really funny that this is EG's sig:

i am on a holy quest for blue's clues... the mark of the omnipotent dog is the Blue Pawprint... i must faithfully record all three clues in my handy-dandy notebook, then ponder their meaning in my Thinking Chair. The penalty for failure is DEATH..."

OMG, when you find it, let me know. I played for 4 hours this summer with B and we never found it. It is someone's evil plot to drive moms of toddlers crazy!

dude. we found it *whew* he stayed up sooooooooo late, but we did it. we were actually jumping up and down hugging when we found it. in the bedroom, the closet door is open, and there is a coat on the floor. you have to click on the coat, and THEN you have to notice that, outside the frame of the action scene, a coathanger appears. click on the coathanger, which picks it up, then click on the coat AGAIN, and the coat gets hung up... UNDERNEATH the coat is a green sock bearing the mark of the omnipotent blue dog.

i'm now scared to death to bust out "blue's treasure hunt."

thanks for the info on the help file!!!! i'll definitely be using that next time. this... is so... sad. i made it through zork 1 with no cheats. i made it through zork 2 needing only one, single cheat (i did not come up with the idea to speak the word "odysseus" to scare off the cyclops.) and then i can't even make it through a game of blues f***in clues...

The treasure hunt I still have :)

I found it looking for the birthday game.

I don't remember it being hard -- but, I will ask mikey ;)

Glad you found it!
