Truelove hopes the same training could prepare a monkey for special-ops intelligence.
Given most cops, this will increase the IQ of that department by leaps and bounds. :monkey:

BJ & the Bear. But in that one the monkey was an evil truck driver stickin' it to Sheriff Lobo. :bandit:

This will give all those old insults about "your job being so simple a monkey could do it" a lot more meaning.

Now picture that cute little monkey with a bullethole in it's head from the first unsuccessful "reconaissance". It sounds like a bad idea to me.

LOL wrong kind of monkey and hey they said they would give him a kevlar vest.
Train him right and they might give him a gun too. Then he would be in camo and blend in with the rest of the cops.

New Swat Monkey Already Foiled by This man (picture below)
In recent news today a new SWAT program that was looking at adding some primal instint power to the police has been thwarted by a plumber. This plumber succesfully completed an obstacle course laden with barrels fire and bizzare ladder structures to defeate the SWAT monkey.

Heh....
Personally have always used the analogy "Like giving a monkey a gun" to describe some of the decisions made by folks... but now I guess they'll just go ahead and do it now once they train them in SpecialOps tactics. :D

Truelove is spearheading the department's request to purchase and train a capuchin monkey, considered the second smartest primate to the chimpanzee.Maybe it's just me, but aren't humans the smartest primates? Thus, wouldn't the capuchin be third smartest? I mean, not that I've got that large an ego (ahem), but I've got to be smarter than a monkey.

If you are saying that humans are primates, then you must believe in evolution. ;)

*walk softly and remember shawn is packin'*
That cop is my new hero. I like how he came up with the idea and decided it was viable and that he could train a monkey. I'm going to request a big ole expensive LCD montior so that I can work some things out and create a program for it to be used with one of desktops.
