Okay, so here's the story. I'm house sitting at my neighbors place which is a couple of houses down the street. I go into their back yard to water some plants etc. Suddenly I heard a sound coming from the back of the yard. To my surprise on the other side of the fence in the back were two very very very young kittens. I took them back to my house and put them into my mother's care (not a great idea if you're human, but she likes cats). The End.

But not really, three days later, I thought I heard the mewing again, but I didn't see another kitten on the other side of the fence. I went inside. I went back out about a half hour later and heard the mewing again, I listened closer and it seemed like the meows were coming from above me. Lo and Behold, with the help of a maglight and a ladder, I climb up onto the people in back's garage roof and under a cypress branch I find one more kitten, straight black. (no pics yet of this one) Poor little guys haven't even opened their eyes yet. Now to find homes for these guys. We may keep one.

Take them to a vet. They might need special care or have injuries.

awwww... i want a kitty! :( but we already got enough pets for our apt (2 bunnies and a bird).

it's lucky that you found them! they definitely don't look old enough to survive on their own. Wonder how the black one got into the location he did.

Oh good! They look so small it's almost scary. Did you ever figure out what happened?

I really wish I had a kitten, but I'm allergic to cats :(

We have NO idea what happened. My postulation is that they two black and white ones fell from the garage roof, but since there is a loamy layer of leaves in such, were okay. They act and respond just like the kittens my cat had a looong time ago in a house in R.C. We're looking into homes for at least 2 of them now. Tofu, you're on the list of consideration. If anyone else wants to be on the list (and I'd like it if you could too tofu) just pm me w/details and I'll see what I can do. We will probably keep the black cat if we keep on. The two black and white cats are a boy and a girl.

Way to be AC. :)

I had to bottle feed my last cat when she was a wee one. She was only 3-4 weeks old when I got her.

Their eyes aren't even open and we've had them a week so they were at most days to a week old when we found them.

How long does it take for them to get their eyes open and, you know, walk like a cat?

Well,

Shorthair kittens begin to open their eyes at 5-8 days.
Longhair kittens do not open their eyes until 10-14 days. Isn't that strange? So if some of your kittens don't have their eyes open yet, but the others do, it may be because they are longhaired. All kittens' eyes are beautiful deep orbs of blue at first. They will look like this until the kittens are three weeks old. Then the iris and pupil will form and the kitten's permanent eye colors will slowly emerge. At first, although the eyes are open, the kittens are still almost completely blind.

if you want me to, I'll help you kill yourself. if I were alergic to beer/alcohol, I would certainly kill myself. no one should be forced to live when they have that kind of terminal illness to deal with. no need to thank me, I am a humanitarian looking to help.

They're doing very well, eating about 1000 times a day. :D Okay so like every 40 or so min. one has started to open her eyes and that means the other two shouldn't be too much longer. I'll try and post some more pics tomorrow.

Airencracken, this is how they infiltrate new households. You must do something... soon (a dog might balance out the evil, but there may be too many of them already).

Ok, now that's out of the way, those are nice lookin' pussies you have there. :P
