trust me it sucks we have already put the fans in the window so it makes it kinda hard to keep the house warm. and it will wreak havoc on the electric bill. oh well.

Yeah, I had my bedroom window fan running last week. But definitely had to take it out the last few days, as it got down to the 20s here last night (Chicago area).

Rollercoaster in NM as well... wind, clouds, rain, sun, and tonight it's cloudy and 49°, feels like 46°, and it's not quite 11pm. Snow's crazy though.:gle:

Snowing in April???
There's a saying in chinese, if it snows in May, its considered bad luck. Means something like someone innocent is put to a crime that he/she didnt commit

or something else

but at least I know its bad luck

I got in a very bad wreck on April 24, 1988 in a huge snowstorm. Visability was zero, traffic was one lane, and some guy got stuck in the middle of the road, abandon his vehicle and I plowed right into it. I think we had 12 inches of wet, sloppy snow. The funny thing was, it was in the 70's the next day and almost every trace of snow was gone in 24 hours.

but strangely, your car was still wrecked... :disa: :P that blows.

it got freakin cold here too, and of course rainy. the kids are going nuts because i'm not letting em just run outside barefoot like they've been doing for the past two weeks... and it was a week past the average frost-free date, so we went ahead and planted some basil and oregano plants... just in time to kill em! ARRRGGGHHH!!!!! prm made a valiant effort at bubble-wrap smurf houses for the damned things, but they really don't like cold...

I retire early next year, then it is back to the snow for me. After watching all of the storms this year, I am not real anxious to see snow again.

Gotta love Michigan... you get to use the lawn mower & the snowblower in the same week.

We got about 9" or so over the last few days. I actually did bust out the snowblower yesterday. Maybe I should've waited a few more weeks before I turned my sprinklers on...
