Pic of The Day: Mt Soledad

Mt Soldedad is a controversial war memorial located between Pacific Beach and La Jolla. The cross was erected on it in 1954 to honor Korean War veterans. Well, unfortunaltely today you are not allowed to have anything remotely hinting at a religion associated with the government, so a battle has been going on for several years now about what to do with it. Many veterans of this and other wars (both living and dead) are commerated by plaques around the Memorial, which is currently being run by a veterans association.
