Mmm... :) Hires in the bottle. I miss drinking soda out of the bottle. Thanks for the info! Do they have Hires in your town or does that place import it from elsewhere?

Yeah, I bought a bunch of different root beers. Some I bought for the bottle, like one called Rat Bastard, it has a bunch of nasty stuff in it. And some really nostalgic stuff in bottles. I think I spent like 30 bucks on stuff there. I also got candy cigarettes. Those rock!

I always thought it went back to my days programming in Applesoft Basic ("HGR" was the command to invoke the hires graphics mode: 280x160, 8 colors.)

BTW, Hires is my favorite root beer, and is still available at my local grocery store.

What other root beers would you rate as good as Hires? I haven't seen candy cigarettes in a long time. Hires and candy cigarettes. Mmm... :)

and the obvious choices, Dad's, Kemper, and Weinhards. I liked the Sioux City one the best.

Around here, I think Dominion's is pretty good. It's made with honey and though it takes getting used to, it's quite good.

Barq's is good for the commercial brand (beats AW and Mugs) as well as IBC.

Yeah it's cool. Easiest way to get there is just go to So. Pas, go West on Monterey, you'll run right in to it, it's on the left hand side.
