You can independently verify that Ex24 is a NASD and SIPC member by visiting their official websites or calling these organizations. Read about SIPC insurance at their website. Basically it says that if the company goes bankrupt and you have $300,000 cash in the company, the SIPC gives you $300,000. This is like FDIC insurance except FDIC insurance is only for banks. SIPC insurance is the equivalent for brokerage firms. If you own 1000 shares of Citibank and the company goes bankrupt the SIPC gives you 1000 shares of Citibank.
