Hey does anybody know where to look for a passenger van rental (over 10+ ppl) for about a period of one month?
The only place I found that has it is budget.com. Other places like Avis, Hertz don't have it.
We're travelling this summer w/ a music team for church and so we either need a van for the people or a storage truck like a Uhaul (but i think Uhaul doesnt rent out for that long of a time period). Please if anybody has any experience in renting a passenger van or know somewhere that I could, it would be extremely helpful.

Enterprise has it too. THe best would be to also get a B license as those vehicles are relatively unwieldy to drive for someone w/ no experience w/ large vehicles.

whenever summer comes around, my church usually goes to enterprise to rent 15-passengers. if you can help it, get fords. E-305's are SOOOO much better than chevy or dodge vans. rates should be somewhere between $60-80/day with at least 300miles/day. shop at different rental places as one store can/will give you a different rate than another.
and as psycho mentioned, it would be helpful to get a class B. it's not required for rentals but would be helpful. but just to let you know, it's quite a pain to get that license (compared to standard class C).
but just remember when driving large passenger vans... leave PLENTY of space between you and car in front of you. sudden, jerky movements will increase chances of tip-over (vans are already prone to this so be extra careful).

B license? BAH! i rented one for 3 days and drove around with it and it was fine. You just have to make sure you drive slower and don't take corners at 50mph.
I got mine from Enterprise, cost about 89 a day. I'm sure they'll cut you a deal. Since this is for church, they might give your a bigger discount. Who knows. I've rented regular passenger cars from enterprise for 1 month period. Dogdge Neon, 600 bucks. Imagine paying 600 bucks for DODGE NEON! hahah crazy.

in terms of price, I always find the best prices in the random local places. check the yellowpages and find a local rental place. their vans might not be as new, but the prices are so much cheaper.

yeah, for our vball travels, we get a 12 passenger van from a local place. Enterprise has 15 passenger vans, but you can't get one of those unless you're over 25.
