I am not sure about now but I did read that they are in the process of tightening up the travel between the US and the Islands. Next year they will all require a passport. So you might want to get her one as she will probably need it sooner or later.

according to this site

All you need is a birth certificate.

Its so much easier these days to get one > I would get one to be on the safe side. When my daughter went to Montego Bay (Jamica) she had to have one. BUT, I don't know if that was because she was getting married there. :thumb:

Get one anyway. If I remember correctly, by 2006 or 2007 it will be required even to visit Canada.

Just get the passport, it's worth it. I've used mine to get into canada (much easier than just the birth certificate, less hassle from the mounties :D) and australia.

thanks everyone, we're going to europ in the fall, so she's definitely getting one, but i booked a last-minute trip to runaway bay and didn't even think to find out if she needs one now. looks like we'll be good...perhaps with a little hassle since she's got that terrorist look to her...you know, 5ft korean girls are pretty intimidating

i would still call and ask. i see effective in the very near future we will need a passport to enter Canada. a birth cert and license used to do the trick.
also, the dear ole USPS is going to start issuing passports to help pick up the slack.
