Detectives went to Muskogee, Oklahoma, on Wednesday to interview members of a family after getting a second tip from a man living there who said he was related to the child. An initial investigation last year of a tip from the same man did not produce any solid leads.

wtf? a relative calls em a year ago saying, hey, that's my relative... and the investigation went nowhere????

i don't get it. they're leaving out an awful lot of important info.

my best guess is that the mother denied that the child was hers? but now they have a photo to prove it?

but there should have also been a birth certificate... and surely in the initial investigation a year ago, if they've got a guy saying, hey, it's HER kid... and she says nuh-uh... wouldn't you just mosey to the courthouse and search through birth records spanning a year or two til you determined that it either did or did not exist? please tell me the cops didn't f*** this up THAT badly...

i couldn't care less about the decapitation or anything else they did to a dead body. it's the kick to the head/ no medical help combo that f***s with my head.

it always amazes me when they arrest the mother when the father/boyfriend/stepfather did it. it might behoove the authorities to find out if she was also an abuse victim first. been there, done that, and i got out before it escalated to this level, obviously, but i can sympathize.

I love the fact that once the kick to the head was applied, they failed to seek medical attention due to outstanding warrants on themselves. Stupid sons of bitches. I don't care if she was Hedda and he Joel, they should both spend the rest of their lives in solitary confinement.

i'll agree, with a "but." if a guy has just beaten the crap out of you, once again threatening to kill you and the kids if you try to leave him, then kicks your daughter in the head, and, when you say you're taking her to the doctor, he pins you to the wall by your throat and tells you no, you're not... i can't hate her if she doesn't. trying means certain death. not trying seems like better odds for her :shrug:

but yeah... if this was a "i don't want ot get arrested, maybe she'll be okay" thing, f*** em both. how hard is it to get a relative to take the kid, or to not take a wallet and lie about your name? hell, that'd get you free medical care to boot, then you just leave AMA.

They could have taken her and dropped her off at the hospital. They didn't need to stay. It would have taken the cops quite awhile to identify her. I think they just wanted to be rid of her. They are pigs of the highest magitude and they should be taken out and shot 2 or 3 time and left to bleed to death.
