:bigmouth:
A quack who so believes his own publicity that he has become an expert in his own mind. :duh:

He's a quack. He's the reason why I didn't pursue anything beyond an undergrad in psych. People who put them image of help but do more harm than good.

Quack. You can't fix people's psychological problems in 12 minutes. He is using and abusing his guests.

A duck can't hold a quack up to him! IMHO he is a professional bull****ter - does whatever it takes to rake in the cash. When the well runs dry - he moves.

Exactly! There are no quick fixes for things that have been building for years.

I vote quack.

The "advice" he gives usually makes perfect sense, but it's so obvious and he doesn't seem to do much to actually help the people's problems, just point them out.

If a husband is cheating on his wife, Dr. Phil will start yellling and say something along the lines of "You need to stop cheating on your wife, don't you know that you're hurting her and ruining your kids lives?!! You need to just cut that person out of your life and stop cheating!!"

Well, no **** Dr. Phil.

The only way I could see his "master of the obvious" advice working would be if someone was actually so dumb to not realize they were hurting others around them with their actions. Now, I know a lot of ignorant people, but I think that's past the line of being naive to being a moron.

That "Quack" sure is making fat paper.

He is using peoples problems for his own gain and is just a notch better then Springer as far as that goes. Though Springer is a slightly better psychologist then he is. ;)

I think he's alright. Sometimes you need the obvious stated to you. I've learned a thing or two from the show.
