I have a USB one and it works great minus the fact it takes up a USB slot and it sticks out. Originally I thought it be good so I can just move it to computer to laptop to computer. However most laptops nowadays have wireless built in. I do find it useful that I can plug it into two computers without opening them up.

I've gotten good signals with a router in a basement and the USB connected computer on the 3rd floor if that any indication of signal strength.

Airlink USB wireless adapter (802.11g) sucks big time.
