Just purchase a pager at totallyfreepaging.com(around $75) and pay a $25 activation fee, and get alphanumeric service free for life!! The pager also gets sports scores and news, stock info, business news, and gives the ability to check email and receive instant messages. The only catch is that most of the pages you receive come with a small advertisement. You can also check your voicemail and messages from the internet. I have one myself and I am very pleased..
