Kanye West - Diamonds...when I first heard it, I was like ehhh, nothing special but it has really grown on me. I love the beat now and his lyrics and flow have REALLY improved. This tracks really got me excited, I can't wait for his sophmore album.

Any place to hear a sample of it online? I only know Itunes but they usually only play the middle section of it.
*edit I hope I don't get this thread to Software. Sorry if it does.

I'm glad you posted about his new track, or I never would've known. I stopped listening to radio a long time ago (sick of hearing the same crap over and over again), so I also stopped finding out when those rare good artists have new stuff out.
And in a related note, Kanye's absence from Talib Kweli's last CD was pretty major. Kweli's album with Kanye producing was hot (even had Dave Chappelle do a hilarious intro), but this latest effort was crap.

Talib Kweli's latest album? or this track? I kinda got confused there.
Anyways the mp3 of this song should be everywhere online...any program like bearshare or whatever should have it.

I meant Kweli's latest album was crap. Two keeper songs and the rest was great lyrics, horrible production. Kanye's producing did a good job of giving life to Kweli's lyrics on Quality.
Oh, and I happened to hear this song today. I liked it. :)

on the otherhand, Kanye is a terrible rapper.
just like all the other producers who try to flow.

I'd agree on most producers (seriously, Timbo....just stop), but Kanye actually gives some decent lyrics. He's no Mos Def or Kweli, but he's also no Timbo or Puff Daddy either.
By the way, has anybody heard Hey Mama off Kanye's new album yet? I don't listen to the radio, so I don't know if he's released another track yet, but if he does I'm hoping he picked that one. It's a keeper.
