Echo is as good as everyone says!!!

Well I tried echo, the listen to radio and get $18 amazon gift certificates site, and they really are very good. hmm...are you on modem or cable/dsl? I'm on a cable modem and it works fine.

Crashing as in totally freezing up your computer? or Just not connecting to their site? or You have to end task your browser?
Could it be that you need a newer version of Real Audio?

Mine crashes sometimes when ICQ tries to make noise. I shut it off if I'm leaving it on overnight.

I think d/l'ing the version 8 of real audio helped...
