I am trying to find a better deal for one of these camera then MSRP.

I want it to have a full warranty. So far the only place that has this for a reasonable amount of money is CompUSA. So as of now...CompUSA is at 299+29 for the warranty, plus tax.

I am also looking for 2 - 1 Gb SanDisk SD Ultra II cards. I am planning on getting them at Costco for just over $89 each.

Ritz Camera has it at list, but says they have no tax and free shipping for online orders over $100. Nikon has a one year warranty I think. The only problem with Ritz is the extended warranty is $50 for 1 year and $99 for 2. The dell deal for the SD400/500 is looking better and better, if only I thought it was a better camera.

Anyone know about Dell's extended warranties for Digital Cameras????

For myself, I do not believe in extended warranties. Stores and companies like to push them for the exact reason that they will make lots of money on them (meaning customers will probably not use or need them),- sometimes more money than selling the item itself. I just make sure it is from an authorized vendor so the warranty is valid. If there is a defect in the camera, it will most like occur within the first year of use. But if you feel more comfortable having one, that is fine. Check out camera reveiws and info at www.dpreview.com if you haven't yet.
