spam from people you know?

so, I've been seeing spam from people I know....OR
I've been getting an e-mail saying e-mail's been refused from username(that I know)@some random domain.


would this be from spyware that's on my computer?

Spyware or a virus would be my first guess. Many spyware programs are designed to spread through Outlook and other e-mail programs.
