He's sure leaving it all on the floor. I think he should come back and play with Miami. Can you imagine Wade, Jones and Miller getting open looks from the 3 line with Shaq kicking it out to each of them?

Well... Goodbye Reggie. Thanks for all the memories. :wavey:

Now maybe he'll go and get his teeth fixed... and quit lookin' like the worlds tallest Ferengi. :heh: (That woulda been classic for him to have been on a STNG episode as one.. :heh: )

But all and all... all jokes aside... he is/was a great basketball player (even if he is the master of the "flop foul" :heh: )

as a pacers fan, i'm really going to miss him. he brought it every night. had the young guys going crazy chasing him. i'm hoping rip hamilton on the pistons becomes another reggie like he seems to be doing.

As a Heat fan, I'd love to have him on our team. Yes, he's the master of the flop foul, but he's also famous for torching the Knicks and taunting Spike Lee in the Garden. That's the kind of thing that makes Heat fans like you. :)

He's not coming back fellas get it through your melons ;) Speaking of melons, is he still married to that gorgeous woman who was the focus of the playoffs (at least for me) a few years ago?

Reggie was my last favorite player from the old days. You tried your best Reggie. You deserve a ring but at least you can say you never left any in the tank at the end of the day.

To Reggie

Dude you don't know how many times I've thought the same about him being a perfect Ferengi.

pretty classy of larry brown last night to call the timeout after reggie went out. and then had his team stand and applaud.

that was really classy. To take a time out to honor your opponent is amazing. Few would have thought to do so.

For most other coaches, I would say that it would be a pleasant surprise but for some reason with Larry Brown, I kinda figured he would do something like that even before he did it. It really does fit his M.O.

Btw... why did they take Reggie Miller out of the game when there was still time on the clock. I mean it was rough but there was still a chance of them getting back into it and if there was anybody that Indy wanted on the court in those last seconds it would have to be Reggie. I know that they wanted him to be able to go out with a standing ovation and stuff like that but IMO they did it too early. They could've always taken another foul when there was less time left.

That display at the garden was the most amazing performance I'd ever seen. 8 points in 8.9 seconds. :wow: The ultimate compliment is that I hated him. I loved beating the Pacers just cuz it was beating Reggie. But he is a class act and you got to respect him for staying with one team and consistantly making the playoffs.

Good stuff here:

it was a 3 possession game with less than 20 seconds left. Better to let him have his ovation and appreciation from the crowd. The game was over.

I agree...

But also... Larry Brown is a former coach of Reggie, so I'm sure there has always been the respect there. :D

Awesome picture! I love the look of agony on all the Knick fans' faces. Classic.

As a 1990's Knicks fan, I hated him. But he is a very respectful player, to the hall of fame ;)

I can see why they did it but the game wasn't over. 3 possessions with less than 20 seconds could not be done by many teams but they had a team that could do it and they benched the one guy who had the best shot at it. If this was just a regular game, I could understand it better... but for a elimination playoff game... I thought they would've kept him in for at least another 10-15 seconds.

Was that the game where the Knicks were up like 8 points, and Reggie made three 3-pointers within 10 seconds?

2 3's and a 2. See my link above with clips.

But I can totally see someone, years from now, telling their grandchild that Reggie hit 4 3's with 4 ticks on the clock. ;)
