isnt' the preakness part of the kentucky derby?

obby, horse racing is really only popular in areas that are near horse tracks i think. it's not suprising that folks don't know what it is.

The Preakness is one of the three horse races in the Triple Crown. The Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont. It is very difficult for one horse to win all three. I believe the last was Affirmed in 1978.

That being said I have not really kept up with it this year. Not really sure who is in the running.

preakness weekend = craziness in baltimore. the place is only a few miles away from me...and no, I still haven't gone. shrug. no interest really, though i usually put 10 bucks on the longshots winning for a possible quick 100+ bucks.
