24-pin quiet PSU needed

Hi all,

I'm looking for a quiet PSU that comes with 24-pin without using any 20-24 converter. Antec True Power II has that but it is only ATX12V 2.01 compliant while others are 2.03 compliant like my Startech PSU (20-pin only). Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you.

I have 450w OCZ Modstream ($60 AR) and 430w Antec True Power 2.0 ($74.01) on the list. Both have native 24-pin and able to remove 4 extra pins in case of 20-pin motherboards. Decision, decision....

From what I've read, Seasonic is a very good and quiet ps. Unfortunately, I can't find a sale one right now. For that matter, I can't seem to find any good deals right now.

Thanks jello, I'll check out Seasonic PSU. As for Antec True Power 2.0, apparently there are some major design flaws http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=383405 and Antec admitted that. Even if they fix the problems, it'd be hard for consumers to distinguish the "revised" and the "original" PSU (specially with online store) if they don't change the product #. Time to do more research online. :)

Seasonic seems to be awesome but its pricetag ($96.23 shipped) for 430w PSU makes me hesitated. On the other hand, 500w Bluestorm is $77.94 shipped but 5 db louder than Seasonic. Can I notice the difference? Hm......

I pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered the 450w OCZ modstream PSU. From what I read in silentpc, it runs a lot quieter than Bluestorm and just a tiny quieter than modstream's big brother, powerstream. Seasonic is very nice but the lack of PCIe power adapter makes it less upgrade-friendly since PCIe will be the trend for the future. Hopefully OCZ modstream will run at the same noise level or better than my Startech which is already dead quiet. Too bad they don't have 24-pin and need to use the 20-24 adapter.
