I'm leaving for a week long trip on Monday, and I just found out my new IBM X40 will also be arriving on Monday. I want to bring my laptop with me, but I wasn't expecting it so early so I didn't get a case or bag for it.

I purchased a BOOQ case which is on backorder until june, so I do have a case. http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=97

My problem is that I don't really want to spend much money since I already have a case coming. How should I carry it?

I do have a laptop bag, but it's way too big for the x40 (it was designed for the old IBM notebooks). I guess I want something to protect it while I put it in my backpack. Any ideas on how to juryrig/buy something cheap to do this?

TIA.

Hell... if it is temporary, just stuff it into your old back and put something around it to take up the extra space (foam... towel... newspaper  ). Why buy another one when you got one coming?
