NSS: This week is my last week at my job and I get to start a new one next week in DC. My co-workers are giving me a good-bye luncheon to wish me well.
SS: The luncheon is at a steakhouse and I don't eat beef or pork.
Ok, this is not a big suckage. I just think it is indicative that it is time to leave.

So they're taking you out but didn't even check to see what kind of food you like? That's classy!

How about sea food. Most good steakhouses will also have lobster or a nice piece of fish.

Are you Vegan or vegetarian? Hmmm...usually info like that certainly comes up. I second the big salad and bowls of creamed potato soup sans the bacon.

It was actually very good. They had blooming onions and cheese fries as appertizers. I ordered a salad with grilled salmon.
I knew I could find something to eat. I just thought it a bit insensitive.
On a side note, does anyone feel selfish about posting in NSS/SS. I always think the stuff I want to post here is small in comparison to real problems people have.

We have a couple of vegetarians on our project so we try to accomodate them. We usually get a fruit platter but to me it's sort of insulting when you see a meat platter, buffalo wings, chicken on a stick, and meatballs on the table too. Sometimes there's a platter with cheese and crackers.
