After 5 years or more of running the same tired out system (which at the time of purchase cost me MEGA BUCKS and is now worth diddly)....I have finally caved and bought an optical mouse...it's so pretty I just had to share my joy with all of you...
My next investment is going to be an upgraded system, and preferably a nice photo printer that doesn't loose its integrity the first time you have to change the ink cartridge...
so I'm going to play with my mouse now....:wavey2:

Heh... pretty much I'll NEVER go back to an analog ball mouse again... Optics is where it is at! :D

man. when i read the threat title i thought your entire mouse could glow... like glow in the dark or something

but its only a friggin optical mouse... so i was a little disappointed.

but glad u got optical now :thumbup:

What's an analog mouse? Are those like cassete tapes?

(I only joined the world of optical mice about two months ago)

:stupid: I with ya on that (and cordless are better :pfft: ) I just wish the people at the office gelt the same way. Damn primitive work computer.

What's an analog mouse? Are those like cassete tapes?

I'd liken them more to 8 track tapes. (Anyone old enough to remember those?)

I'm happy with my new MX1000. Wireless and Laser instead of optical. Have it for about a week or so. (For the record, I'm not a gamer.)

No bashing intended. Just a little humor. Optical mice are certainly the mainstream.

actually, the entire thing DOES glow..bright red when I touch it and a soft red when it's idle.
